THE VERNACULAR SOCIAL CLUB
Presents
VERNACULAR CITYTRIP #1
IN ŁÓDŹ, PL.
10-11-12 MAY 2024
The VERNACULAR CITYTRIP: a weekend around the vernacular document.
Exclusively for its members, the Club wants to offer a weekend every year in a major city, based around vernacular documents and photography. The idea is to get together in a city rich in history, art and culture, to meet local enthusiasts and exchange ideas between members.
On the programme: presentations of vernacular photography collections, film screenings, visits to institutions, discovery of a historic town centre and meetings with passionate collectors!
Edition #1 – ŁÓDŹ 2024: photography, motorbikes and polar bears!
For this first edition of the Vernacular Citytrip, the Club is proposing to meet up in ŁÓDŹ, Poland’s third largest city. Lodz is rich in historical heritage: Poles, Russians and Germans have blended together to weave a unique story.
